The EHS community is grieving the tragic loss of Axel Stammen, a beloved student and member of the school’s football team. His passing has left friends, classmates, and teammates heartbroken, as they remember a young man who brought light, laughter, and warmth to everyone around him.
Axel was known for his enthusiasm, kindness, and strong sense of teamwork. On the field, he gave his all—always supporting others, celebrating their wins, and lifting spirits even in tough moments. Off the field, he was just as dedicated to being a good friend and a source of positivity.
“He was a bright part of our football family, and his absence is felt deeply throughout our entire community,” the EHS football program shared in a statement following his passing.
Honoring Axel’s Life and Legacy
To remember Axel and celebrate his life, a candlelight vigil will be held on Sunday, November 9th, at 6:00 PM in front of EHS. The event will give classmates, teammates, and community members a chance to come together, share memories, and show support for one another during this difficult time.
The football team encouraged everyone to attend, saying, “Let’s come together as a family, lift each other up, and show love to all who are hurting.”
