The Beaumont community is mourning the tragic death of 33-year-old Clarence Rosamore, who was fatally shot on the evening of Friday, November 7, 2025, in a senseless act of violence that has shaken residents across the city.
According to the Beaumont Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 7:12 p.m. to an apartment complex located at 2317 Broadway Street following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Rosamore suffering from severe gunshot injuries. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, he sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
Authorities have since identified the suspect as 26-year-old Eleazar Stansbury, who was located at the scene and detained by officers without further incident. After interviews with detectives, Stansbury was transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility, where he was booked on a charge of murder.
The investigation remains ongoing, with detectives continuing to gather evidence and piece together the events that led to the fatal shooting. Police have urged anyone with additional information to come forward to assist in the case.
